I watched Jamie’s acceptance speech he gave at Harvard after receiving the Healthy Cup Award. He said he felt “passionate yet a bit depressed at the same time because it’s not really working.” Maybe not to the degree he’d like to see, yet.
It’s working Jamie! All of your hard work - it’s working!
Here is my 8 yr old making breakfast for my 7 yr old who just woke up- scrambled eggs with cherries & cut strawberries.
Two days ago, this same little girl made me her first smoothie using vanilla almond milk, ground flaxseed, an organic apple with skin, a frozen banana, and (drum roll please) green grapes! Ha ha. She told me she wants to open up a breakfast theatre! Breakfast, pajamas and cartoons!

COOK IT. SHARE IT. LIVE IT.
“Cooking Skills used to be passed down from generation to generation, but now millions of people lack even the most basic cooking skills. We need to get back to basics: to cook and eat fresh local produce; to share cooking skills and food knowledge; to join forces within communities and get as many people involved as possible. Food Revolution Day is our opportunity to get the world to focus on the importance of good food and essential cooking skills, by rallying our efforts to empower people with better cooking skills and to inspire them to cook fresh food from scratch.” ~ Jamie Oliver
